Indulging in the most perfect Viennese coffee! Thanks @ashleyyspencer for the trip tip! #travel #coffee #vienna #austria (Taken at Cafe Mozart)

Stories Beat Stuff 2 is the second phase of the Tourism New Zealand campaign. The underlying message - that life is all about great experiences and not just about having material things. As a result of this, Stories Beat Stuff was born where people are invited online to trade something they value for the chance to win an experience of a lifetime in New Zealand.

The two new experiences that are being offered are Natural Goodness and Winter Highlife valued at $30k. You can even take three friends! So how do you win this? All you’ve got to do is take a video OR send a photo of what you’d trade for a trip to New Zealand – making sure it’s a real object! Choose three of your best friends that you’d want to come along with you and then share it round via Facebook/ Google+/ Twitter to get as many votes as possible.

You can check out the two winners from Phase 1 here:

There is also a second prize draw just for voting! Vote for an entry and be in to win flights for two to New Zealand.

Out of the two, I think I would have to go with “Natural Goodness”. The idea of being somewhere so remote is appealing. Waking up in the morning and hiking followed by some extreme sports later on, would be so cool.

Here’s a teaser video:

With this prize, you would be adventuring around the South Island, hiking through national parks, climbing glaciers, rafting rivers, kayaking with dolphins, getting up close to whales, then seeing birds and seals along the stunning coastlines. When it’s time to put your feet up, we’ll have hot springs nestled in the mountains waiting for you.

Here it is folks. A list of 10 things not to do on a cruise:

1). Don’t travel with the wrong person
Someone who snores, makes loud noises under the covers or argues with you, is guaranteed to make you jump overboard!

2). Don’t go on a cruise if you get seasick easily
Pretty obvious one this. It’s all smiles until you see that dark cloud in the distance getting agonizingly closer by the minute. And then the boat starts to sway…

3). Don’t hang out in the souvenir shop for the whole cruise
There are only so many nik-naks you can put on your mantlepiece or gift to your family members.

4). Don’t sunbathe all day
Just because you are on a cruise does not mean that normal health warnings apply. If you get sunstroke on a ship and then combine that with seasickness, you will be in a new kind of hell.

5).  Don’t overdo it on your first day
This is a marathon not a sprint. If you kill it on your first day, you will spend two and half weeks bored out of your mind.

6). Don’t eat at the fanciest restaurants every day
Would you do this on land? No! So why do it at sea.

7). Don’t stay in your cabin for too long
You spend 8 hours in here sleeping. Have you heard of cabin fever? Yes, so get out there and have fun!

8). Don’t take yourself too seriously
See those reps doing corny activities? Join them and get stuck in. This isn’t your first disco.

9). Be nice to the crew
If you don’t tip the waiters or are rude to the crew members, don’t be surprised if you see something weird floating around in your margarita or bowl of soup!

10). Don’t sleep around
Players beware. If you treat people like dirt, you’ll get a taste of your own medicine before the boat has returned to port.

Now take these tips, head on over to Celebrity Cruises and book your next cruise!
